Chicago bears additions 2017

Chicago is in the midst of a difficult and possibly long rebuild. One part of every successful turnaround is belief and confidence in and between coaches and players. It appears Fangio may not quite understand that. To leave a comment, you will need to Sign in or create an account if you already have an account.

They had five on the roster when cuts were finalized. On would imagine if they cut somebody it would be Adams, an unfortunate turn of events after he worked so hard to crack the final This after coming out of retirement not too long ago.

Yet this is the cold business of the NFL. While a good story, Adams also had his setbacks in the preseason including some tough drops. Right now both Webster and Perriman bring more to the table.

It was first noticeable early in the offseason. Five of their first seven draft picks were on the offensive side of the ball including their top three. Now here they are again. Their two biggest post-cuts additions are both on the offensive side. This is the latest signal that the Bears have undergone an identity shift. It has been their bread and butter for so long. So Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy are trying to change that.

Ego Ferguson and Will Sutton also figure to get an extended look in training camp, but neither are guaranteed a spot on the man roster. McPhee is a wrecking ball when healthy, but his constant knee problems have limited his production. At their best, this can be a dynamic duo. Add in Willie Young, Lamarr Houston, and another rookie, and this could be the strength of the whole team.

As for Trevathan, his season will most likely begin on the physically-unable-to-perform PUP list after suffering a torn patellar tendon. Nick Kwiatkoski figures to start any games that Trevathan is forced to miss.

Both Cooper and Amukamara were given nice paychecks this offseason and, as a result, should be starting in September. Cooper had his best season with the Arizona Cardinals in and was rewarded with a three-year deal.
